Hi folks, at long, LONG last, after receiving quite a few requests for both a Headlight Wiring Upgrade Kit and a Driving Light Wiring Upgrade Kit, I have finally got my act together and have a new HEADLIGHT WIRING UPGRADE PROJECT and DRIVING LIGHT WIRING UPGRADE PROJECT posted.

The biggest single advantage of these new projects is that you will NOT need to workout which are the correct wires in the old loom as the new loom simply plugs into the existing 3 pin headlight plug ( H4 type ). This will not only save a lot of time but means you don’t really need all that much knowledge about vehicle electrics and you don’t have to first workout if the vehicle has positive or negative switched headlights.

There should also be no need for any soldering either.

The set up is designed to be a “ Plug-and-Play “ installation

The reason for posting the HEADLIGHT & DRIVING LIGHT WIRING UPGRADE PROJECTS ahead of having the kits ready is because the automotive chain stores BURSONS, have Philips Automotive Globes on special for this month ( MAY 06 ) at around 30% off and that makes these globes very competitive and as you may have gathered, I personally think the Philips globes are Superior to other brands. So if you are seriously thinking about doing an up grade and want to use the Philips globes, now is the time to buy.

More details will be posted in the Projects and Tutorials Section, over the next few days.

The full kits will be available by the end of the week and will contain just about everything you need to do a wiring upgrade.

The kits will have the Relay(s), all wire needed, crimp terminals, pre-wired H4 Headlight Plug, split tube, electrical tape, cable ties and even a crimp terminal tool which can also be used for cutting and stripping the wire.

Check out PROJECTS 2A & 3A, in the PROJECTS and TUTORIALS section.

Cheers.

Hi Drivesafe
Welldone,I will keep an eye open. Will have to start a new penny stack, next to the suspension and snorkel stacks    .
Not sure if you spotted the Disco TD5 dual battery diy wiring kit on EBay I posted pics of the other week.Perhaps another item you could market????
An Ebay search of "Discovery Dual Battery" should find it easy enough. The bloke does alsorts of wiring kits and sells via Ebay.
All the best

Yep, saw it thanks mate.

It just goes to show, no matter how little you really know, post a few lies and do some heavy advertising and you can sell ice to the eskimos.

This guy was advertising on exploroz and was demonstrating that he didn’t know what was the difference between cable gauges at the same time, on the same site.

He’s a REAL expert.

This just demonstrates one of the biggest problems with automotive electrics. Very few people who want to install the gear in their own vehicles, know anything about it. So there are heaps of “ Experts “ that have clicked to this situation and are making good money out of supplying bad info and equipment.

Cheers.
