TDi, TD5 timing belts?

Hi guys,

You may consider starting a stupid question forum for me (I am new to Landrovers). :oops:

Is it right that the TDi has a timing belt and the TD5 a chain? If so how often is the chain replaced.

As to changing the chain on a TD5, I am under the impression it's not necessay. May stand corrected though 8)

Yep...

TDi - Rubber band
TD5 - Chain

The TDi requires changing where as chains generally don't.
