Not sure if posted before (I did do bit of a search first) but this is how you can disable the seat belt warning chimes.
1. Ignition on (not started)
2. Insert and release
seatbelt 9 times...then you will hear a single chime to indicate its disabled.
Job done
Sorry if its a safety feature but it annoys me, cheers.

I don't see the point in disabling it, everyone in the car should have a belt on or put bags on the floor.

That was the first thing I did on my RRS when I got it - that chime is very annoying. The seat belt light on the dash remains which is fine.
I just wish there was a similar fix for the key in ignition, drivers door open chime.

Yes I always wear a seatbelt when its required but I don't need reminding like a 5yo by my own car! And yes I'm seeing what can be done about the key in/door open chime.

Nothing - other than rewiring and then loosing the command centre indication that door is open.

MY14 D4, I turned off the seat belt chime in the CCF via my Nanocom. The light remains on the dash which is fine by me.

I assume you’ve looked at the barrel to see if there is a connection.
Toyota’s you just pull the plug that connects to the barrel. Agree the chin is annoying.

Just did it and it worked like a chime...
I had tried previously unsuccessfully but worked this time round, thanks for the suggestion...

No - I would rather take advice from others on this and after nearly 10 years asking there is no fix. If you pull a wire from the ignition the car she no go.
As the process is all controlled by the body ECU, the only way I can see to do this and to retain full functionality inother areas is to get the software in the BECU rewritten.

Gents, thanks for the info! had an indie service the car last year and some how they disabled the seat belt chime. Wife was very annoyed and returned numerous times to get rectified. They tried the 9 times seat belt trick, scan tool etc, no avail. Went to the car Saturday tried the 9 time trick and it worked. Happy wife![bigsmile1]
