Beware!!!!!!
While looking at Exoticwrecks.com, I went to a video clip and tried to view it. It wanted me to download a program "zangohook" to view it. I refused and copped a warning from Norton Antivirus. Luckily it blocked it.
It is linked with Adware.180solutions and can be installed as part of another program. It creates registry keys and runs when Internet Explorer starts.
It can be looked up on Symantec Security Response for more details.

DAMN those virus peddlers
I have been offline a fair bit recently coz I was also a victim.
Similar circumstance (install to view) and I installed the 'smitfraud' trojan as well as a sweet little pain in the a*se trojan called 'spywarequake'.
Was able to salvage the day through a combined automatic and manual (long, painful, frustrating) removal but two weeks later still reconfiguring registry keys and program settings cos both trojans 'go hard' in the registry.
Norton AV did detect but typically, only after installation and then HORROR inocculated against it
Surfers beware :!: :!: :!: :!:
Glad you didn't click 'install' disconut.
Saved yourself some swearing at the beige box.

Hi Ralph,
I was amazed at the amount of work quoted to get of this thing! it sticks in around 20 new registry entries threading itself through everything.
I can only start to understand what you went through after reading the removal instructions for such PIA viruses.
I normally only view stuff that opens without installations because I dont trust these Ba*&%@*s.

Did you inform exoticwrecks.com - or was that wreckedexotics.com?
One is a car wrecking site, the other is the crashed cars pix site.

Funny you should say that because my puta went into spasms shortly after visiting that site and it was either that or an evinrude ad I had downloaded b4 then ( unlikely) .
My poor wifey took approx 8 hours to clean up the mess, she is brilliant on problems like that. I had by then got 4 Trojans. She said I had been visiting porn sites as her brother got one of the same trojans from them, but it was'nt. I thought it must have been that site, so I can show her this forum and get back into the good books. Unknown to me the Nortons was turned off- that one would have been me 8O

G'day mates,
Every time I hear of others having a problem with Viruses, Spyware, Adware, Trojans or Worms, Norton’s is always mentioned https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
Have any of you ever heard of Nod32 :?:
For many years now I have been running Nod32 as "one part" of my online security and in all the time I've been running Nod32, I have never had a major problem from a virus contaminated site, email or disk...and No! I'm not affiliated to Nod32 in any way but...in my humble opinion... it is the best antivirus program around...bar none!
Nod32 was created by a pommy company and is still being marketed by the same company, to find them, just do a search for "Nod32" in any search engine.
If you reckon your Land Rover is the best vehicle around and you wouldn't be without it! Once you try Nod32, I bet you'll feel the same way about that and...you won't be bothered by viruses https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
I guess you could say that Nod32 is the LR of the internet
