These hubs don’t have the typical bolt head activated lock and I understand they are not very common. My experience has been that they are a little unreliable in the mud and in the wet.
I am thinking about taking them off the 86’ and refitting a full time hub. As mentioned earlier, this little landie will be the firewood collector and will always be in paddocks and muddy lane ways so permanent 4wd will be a positive.
Are the front wheel hubs the same across all series axles? Anyone got a spare set??

Replacing Freewheeling hubs with Drive Flanges does not make it permanent 4wd , Its how it came from the factory & is 2WD until you push the yellow knob down (high range 4WD) or pull the red lever back (low range 4WD) push red knob forward again , yellow knob pos up your back in 2WD .

IMO, Free wheedling hubs of any kind are crapo , They have their uses but your better off without them for a number of reasons.

You can use any 10 spline drive flange up to the end of Series3 .
