I dont have photos i havent bothered to take any but will get some tomorrow but i have been landscaping over the holidays and got keen by pulling the old retaining wall down with the intention to put the old bricks back in in a more orderly fashion.
I pulled all the bricks out and dug the trench poured the concrete, i have 1 of the 4 corses of bricks down and have started the 2nd (something tells me i wont be taking up brick laying any time soon, i redifine the term slow) there will be four courses straight up instead of angled back into the bank like they used to be. The old one had to come down because they werent held in by anything so were rolling back into the bank.
Once the retaining wall is up there will be a planter box on top with herbs in and then a BBQ is going in up the back of the car port using the brick pilled in the yard. I found a BBQ's Galore BBQ on ebay in pretty good nick with a knackerd trolly for $20 which will slot into the BBQ, the BBQ/bar will be in a horse shoe shape with a sandstone slab top.
At this point i will like to thank my parents for fincancing the operation. It is for them really they own the place, i will only get use of it until the end of the year then will most likely be moving.
I plan to get this done and then organise a BBQ to test it all out. I have no idea how long it will take, if its going to take to long i will have a before and after BBQ. Matt
