Hi All,
I have just returned from a trip to Lorella Springs and Birdsville with over 1600 K's done on dirt roads and tracks.
Before leaving i fitted a set of Pirelli ATR Plus tyres in 265/60R18 on TuffAnt rims and they performed excellently.
On road they are extremely quiet with no grip issues.
Off road they were again excellent, I covered roads and tracks of various types from grated dirt, light and very heavy corrugations to technical tracks of varying degrees. Actually some of the dirt roads were better than the bitumen.
Off road I had 24 psi in the front, 26 psi in the back and 26 psi in the off road van. These are all cold pressures.
During the trip I had no punctures, cuts, bulges in fact no damage to the tyres at all.
Overall I am very happy with the Pirelli's and would definitely buy them again.
I have attached pics of some of the tracks.
I should also mention that the D4 was also superb[smilebigeye]
Steve.

Hi Steve

Was wondering what roof rack tray you have installed on your D4 ? it looks like it is attached to the factory Landrover Rails?? correct?

thanks
James

Im actually thinking of running the Pirelli's for my next set of tyres. What's there performance like on wet bitumen? That's probably the worst aspect of my current AT tyres that I'm not happy with

My 275/55R20 AT+ haven't displayed any adverse handling characteristics on wet sealed surfaces including when trying to upset them.

It’s a Hannibal rack. South African I think.

The tyres have performed really well in the wet.
