45 water tankers per day, costing $ 2 million , if rain doesn't come soon.

Day zero approaches for Stanthorpe as locals face prospect of levy to cover cost of trucked-in water - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) (https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-08-05/stanthorpe-drought-bites-as-town-runs-out-of-water/11381886?utm_source=sfmc&utm_medium=email&utm_content=&utm_campaign=%5bnews_sfmc_rural_df_!n1%5d%3a8940&user_id=c17365ab07572ed90614d245ada5ad675f6bc00189 fa766123c70d76d1d7cddf&WT.tsrc=email&WT.mc_id=Email%7c%5bnews_sfmc_rural_df_!n1%5d%7c89 40RuralMail_ArticleLink)

Another sign of the drought.

Dam levels for the Brisbane area are their lowest since 2010,around 65%.

Many towns in NSW have already run out.
The little town I used to live in and near, Murrurundi has had to have water trucked in for months now.

I lived through two droughts there, the first running a cattle property through the '02-'03 drought.
I never want to experience anything like that again. [emoji17]

The weather people keeps telling the Qld Gov it is going to rain next week so are hoping that they are rite & it is going to rain next week. They will wait until we are almost out of water before doing anything about it. Urban Utilities the money they make selling us lots of water at an inflated price. Back when we bought our water & electricity off the Brisbane City Council Our accounts were cheap it wasn't until the State Gov took it over they started going up.[bigwhistle]

Might soon be time to start up the desalination plant. Those who said it was a waste of money will be grateful for it then.

when I talk to people about it , they don't seem to care , it hasn't touched THEM yet , but listen to the voices when it does.

water restrictions should be set and never lifted....ever.

water should be a very heavily monitored utility on a user pays system with serious penalties for 'overuse'

our desalination plant should run full time, there is a big pipeline to feed Brisbane which goes , I believe, to Wivanhoe Dam, there should also be a short pipeline to Hinze Dam

how much has our population risen since the last restrictions?

using 100% drinkable water to wash the sand off poor little mexicans feet is just bloody rediculous , but it will continue until the panic button is pressed.
