Your trailer has LED lights, the vehicle can not see it.

A search for “resistor” should yield what you’re after.

The fix is about $25.00 in a box with plugs. PM me if you like, I have one made up sitting here.

Of course the vehicle could have a non genuine backyard wiring hack fitted that does not allow the car's systems to know it has a trailer connected.
