Hi all

Just after a second or more opinion and tips would be good too, im looking at a 99 TD5 manual with 238,000km (how much life can you expect out of a TD5?) service history, 7 seater, has been used off road, its got a TJM bullbar with the side scrub bars, snorkel, airbags on the rear

after a quick look it needs Front disks and pads, does anyone know $$??, the gearbox felt a bit knochy but he is put in a new clutch (will double check), tyres are worn, the front rail has a crack, it feels like it has no power, ive heard that you need to drive them with a heavy foot??
it has had a radiator done recently (alot that ive seen have) is there something too look at there?

is there anything else i need to look at closely???

the price 14,000 no RWC reg till dec??????? :?

G'Day Intens,

Shouldn't need discs this soon unless flogged, pads from Karcraft about $60 a set.

Not that heavy, those I've driven go well (compared to a TDI anyway), probably need to look at injecors (clean) maybe look to see if old or new filter, blocked snorkel etc?

Not keen on 7 seaters as they have air bag suspension and are prone to some failure (from my experience with mates cars) & costly repair job if need replacing, better to purchase spring model.

Price OK for worn out Disco (high mileage?), by the sound of it. Near 500,000 or much more if not hammered at least.

Cheers
