Good Afternoon All:
Just got back into Land Rover/Range Rover ownership this weekend with a delightfully cheap Range Rover Sport Supercharged 4.2V8 2006 Model.
Some usual foibles with sensors and the like which my MaxiDas DS808 has pointed me in the correct area to solve, however one drama remains and that is the Stereo.
It appears the GPS System is Stuck, and no Sound will come out of Speakers etc with FM/CD etc... even though it appears to be functioning.
The "Land Rover" Logo is stuck on the GPS System also... Not particular phased about GPS Working as I can replace that with a Garmin Unit.. but really want the Sound Working.
I've tried pulling all the various fuses associated with Head Unit etc... Completed a Battery Reset/Disconnect and Removed the GPS DVD (Version 12) from the Unit with no difference.
From what I can see my issue seems to be the same as the Attached TSB Document 153490
I have a JLR Mongoose Cable coming to allow my Notebook to run the JLR IDS Software the article refers to. I was just checking to see if anyone has come across the issue and perhaps has a "Shortcut" Workaround instead.
