Drop down tailgate for FFR.

Considering replacing the existing fixed panel with a drop down tailgate to make access and loading easier.
Has anyone made this mod? Anything special to be aware of? Also how best to wire in the number plate light to allow it twist and flex with the movement of the gate? .

Can't help with suggestions but several have done it before.

The procedure linked above is probably the best option, but some have made a short filler tailgate to fill the missing gap
