I have a Google Pixel 2 XL Android and was not happy with the standard email that I had. It was recommended I change to TypeApp for Android which I did and it has been great with one exception.

Anyone using TypeApp for Android??

When I receive an email with a PDF attached, when I click on the PDF instead of opening it or asking me for the app I use to open PDFs it comes up with a message that my printer cannot be found - now the printer is my wifi printer but I am not interested in printing I just want to view the PDF.

I have searched all the settings for the app, but nothing is obvious. Likewise the contact links on the TypeApp website do not work.

Any users of TypeApp know how to fix this?

Thanks

Garry

Can't help with Typeapp settings .. don't use it, or any email on the phone .. but!

In the settings - apps section go to the Typeapp section and clear its defaults.
Did you short press the pdf, long press?

Is Typeapp trying to print the PDF or is there some other addon/app that is trying to intercept the file association.

Normally when you try to open a file(type) for the first time, Android will ask you to select the app that you wish to associate with that file type.

eg. try to open a pdf, you may have two apps that can do this. When you choose which one you want to use, it also has a 'Just Once' and 'Always' option as well.

I'd start with the clearing of app defaults and start again.
