Last weekend I was helping out at the Penrith Show. Parking is limited at the showground so I parked in Panthers (footy club) carpark.
I came back at the end of the day to find the driver's door mirror pushed all the way forward. I pushed it back but it feels like something is broken inside. That probably won't be cheap to fix - plus it's a pain in the proverbial to do.
When I got home I noticed someone has broken the high-mount stop light which is at the top of the upper tailgate. It looks like that's going to be between $100 (from China) and $200 (in Oz) for a new one. Again, a right pain to replace with the chance of lots of broken plastic on the trim inside the upper tailgate - it's old and brittle and I've had it out before when I fitted (and had to later replace) a rear vision camera. I don't want to take it out again.
I tried sending a message to an LR wrecker in Adelaide to see if they had one but they obviously don't read messages sent from their webpage. I'm still waiting for a reply to a parts enquiry I sent them last year as well as this one. Dunno why I bother with them. I once flew to Adelaide to look at an RRC interior that was, according to them, perfect. When I got there, it had cigarette burns on the seats. Needless to day, I didn't buy it. Two days off work for nothing - but I did meet JSP from this forum.

Hey Ron,
try matar motors, https://www.ebay.com.au/usr/matar.motors (https://www.ebay.com.au/usr/matar.motors) for me they have always been very responsive, but share the same pricing scheme as the Adelaide place mentioned, haven't been up there for two years, only go there in an emergency.
Strangely enough I did my upper tailgate light a few years back, it went brittle and broke seemingly on its own, but bought it fairly cheap from the UK when the Australian dollar was at parity with the US dollar and the pound was cheap.

On the bright side it was pretty good that it was still there and not up on bricks.

I hate public car parks, two of our vans have big scrapes on them from bumpers of cars,in shopping centre car parks.[bigsad]
And to make it worse, one van isn't a year old,and the other is the one i drive.[bigsad]
Some people don't deserve the privilege of having a license.

I'd be happy if it was taken! Save me selling it.

Yeah, but it was opposite Panthers' home ground and there had been a match that day.

I had a closer look today whilst I was putting my solar panels on the roof to keep my aux battery charged (fridge running with snags for the Bunnings Sausage Sizzle our amateur radio club was running) and I could see scratches around the broken part of the lens.
I'll check out Matar, thanks John.

Ron's P38, I haven't seen it for a while but when I did it was probably the best P38 I'd seen.
