Is anyone running Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV tyres in their Vogue?
If so what are they like?
They read well online.
My BF Goodrich KO2s are quite noisey now and have done 60000kms.
Time to replace and I think I’d like the quieter, more fuel efficient and better road handling of these tyres better.

I've only run the Pilot Sport 3 on the car and they're a fantastic tyre. All of the reviews I've read and watched of the Pilot Sport 4 have had them as the best in class (as usual). Its wear rate will more than likely be nowhere near as good as the KO2.
Also check the Pilot Sport 4 SUV against the Pilot Sport 4S. You might find the 4S has a much better wear rating and a higher traction rating but the same load and speed rating.

Thanks Sunnie, I ended up ordering the SUV version. I’d be happy if I got 50000kms out of them.
I’m also looking forward to a quiet cabin and better handling on dry and wet roads.
May stop 8 m sooner than the KO2’s. [emoji2957]

They have the same wear rate rating as my current Pirelli PZeros (255/40-21) and there is no way in the world I'll be getting 50,000km. I'm expecting more like 20,000km with a massive amount of luck on my Audi Q5, the Disco will be heavier. The Pilot Sport 3 gave me an easy 2 years on a little Subaru Impreza which was pretty light.

The BFGs are only about half worn on the backs at 60000kms.
The front has bad wear in the outside left tyre. I should have rotated but busy life got in the way.

Is it possible that being made for SUVs that they may have increased the wear?

I'm really not sure to be honest. I would have thought that for SUV's they would decrease the wear because they are a road tyre not a high performance tyre.
Pilot Sport 4 SUV - UTQG 220 A A - Not sure how this compares to the PS4 and PS4S, but I would assume its closer to the PS4. Possibly carcass and sidewall differences???
Pilot Sport 4S - UTQG 300 AA A - Performance variant with a stiffer carcass. If its like the Super Sport then the PS4S works better at higher temperatures than the PS4.
Pilot Sport 4 - UTQG 320 AA A - Comfort, quiet and benign to drive with 99.9% of 4S performance - a better road tyre
This article explains what UTQG data is

Thanks Slunnie,
The tyres are now on the car.
Wow I feel low to the ground again and the tyres look so much smaller than the BFGs
New tyres 255 50 r20
BFGs 255 55 r20
They are so much quieter and have less rolling resistance.
The car seems to lean and roll so much less now.
Haven’t driven very far yet but I’m happy so far.
The guy at the Tyre shop seemed to think I should get 40000kms to 50000kms out of them.

Or were they 275/55R20? 255/55R20 are 31" whereas 275/55R20 are almost 32".

I’ll check when I get home Graeme.
I kept the rears as they were still pretty good.
I want to get the new defender when it comes out and have no idea what size rim they will have so might be good for a couple of spares.
