Interesting but it has the usual limitation of range.
100km is not going to be very practical to most drivers.

That article is from 6 or 7 years ago. I'm pretty sure the South African's were playing around with these to use on safari type tours and then Land Rover jumped in afterwards. With newer tech batteries, I'm sure the range would now be more than 100km. Nice little package though.

The first of those was actually built by Londolozi game park in South Africa and they invited JLR to come take a look, JLR was so impressed they took over the development and are making out the idea as their own.
