Rolls-Royce powered Land Rover Series 2 - 1970 - Album on Imgur (https://imgur.com/gallery/7n7lXGZ)

This was the best article I could find regarding this vehicle.
Don't think I would like to do 100MPH with the original steering setup.
Very nicely done though, even the colour suits it.
I shuddered at the thought of all that weight hanging off the tailgate when lowered, but there are 2 very substantial hinges supporting it.

cheers
Pete

Ah yes, the Bell Aurens Long nose - absolutely beautiful. Built by Thomas Bell. I even worked out how to convert a 109 into something similar and chatted to an Engineer once about this, but alas, it was just a pipe dream. Not enough time nor money to pull this one off.

Original concept from well over 10 years ago - Bell Aurens Longnose, A Land Rover With Over 1,500 HP (https://www.motor1.com/news/746/bell-aurens-longnose-a-land-rover-with-over-1500-hp/)

What he built - Bell Aurens Longnose - Land Rover - Pictures and Specifications (https://silodrome.com/bell-aurens-longnose/)

Unfortunately it was built just before the GFC in 2008 and that sort of put an end to it going into any sort of low volume production so as far as I know this is the only example ever made.
