Did a foreign job on a mate's 130 this afternoon. Sympton- Horn not working (amongst some other things).
Car has a history of some interesting electrical mods over the years, usual sins like wire nuts, crimp-lock wire taps, and lots of extra wiring etc. Faults to investigate for me was the horn not working, and the high beam not working (high beam had no globes in the lamp, so that was an easily identified problem).

I only had a horn wiring diagram from the Puma series, but interestingly much of what I saw checked out:
Battery via fusible link to fuse block under dash, to steering column horn switch.
At the horn proper, measured 12V to an external ground via the Purple with black stripe wire when horn button pressed.
Also noted continuity from other side of the horn (black wire) to a known chassis earth (radiator support bolts)
Swapped in a working horn but no worky when connected to the original wiring.
Even earthed horn back to a new temporary ground point, to rule out any ****ery with the original earth.

Any ideas? By my thinking I have everything you'd need to work- power and ground, based off the diagram I had looked at for the puma. Unless the 300TDi of that vintage had some completely different way of supplying power to a horn!?

I have the same issue with mine, it is fused off the clock / interior light - when I change the fuse the clock, interior light and horn work. I can only honk twice 3 times if I'm lucky and then the fuse blows. I can't pin down where the issue is!
