2017 Evoque - Android Auto Capability

Hello All,

Looking to get some clarification as I am running around and not able to get a straight answer from any dealer / service centre.

I currently own a 2017 RR Evoque HSE dynamic. From most of what I read online my car along with the recent software update should have Android Auto capability but it doesn't.

From what I have read / found if the car has the Incontrol Pro then that capability should be inbuilt with this new update (19B I think), It appears I cant even use the Incontrol Apps.

Can anyone help to definitively tell me if I do or do not have Android Auto capability so I can stop hassling my service centre or get them to do it right.

Smartphone Pack (Apple CarPlay & Android Auto) is only available on the InControl Touch Pro with the "High" interface panel.

JLR dealers are unable to retrofit the High panel in order to activate the Smartphone Pack, however we can, actually I will have a Discovery 5 at my place next week for exactly this upgrade.

I've just joined this forum because I'm interested in upgrading the Infotainment unit in my 2016 RR Evoque. I've picked up from another thread and also from some other searching online that Merryway produces an aftermarket unit.

This is my current unit - I think its the Bosch?

Do you know of any technicians in Perth who are experienced in retro-fitting RR Evoques (or LR/RR/Jag generally)?

Had my 2016 (MY17) Evoque updated by Cambo and I am stoked to finally arrive in 2021 in style.
Hoping to get Android Auto and ended up with Apple Carplay and Intouch Control as a bonus. [smilebigeye]
