That looks like me when I was trying to learn how to hover a helicopter!

Was that a microburst? looked like clear sky, pretty much - high mountains all around can cause that sort of effect, but this is not a microburst. A microburst is where a mass off air cooled by precipitation drops and spreads when it hits the ground.

You can get a dry microburst in certain circumstances. However, this could be either a wind change associated with the passage of a front or a microburst...

Wind like this occurs regularly in springtime in Sydney (when we change to 07/25). It's not uncommon to see all sorts of stuff being blown around the airport in the high winds. Cargo containers are a favourite of mine...
