I managed to buy this for my daughter. It is her first car. It is one of the last 300 tdi seven seat station wagons. It has 126,000 miles on it and it comes with a service history. The is an issue with the lacquer lifting on the roof but I can get that sorted when I get the vehicle. That together with a change of filters and all fluids should see her right.
The owner has asked me to let him know if my daughter ever decides to sell as he will buy it back.

She is our first born daughter, named Chloe. Our second daughter is two and a half years younger and has special needs. From the moment our second daughter was born Chloe was always there for her. I just explained why our second daughter needed extra care and attention. For years the routine was ,home from work, dinner, do the dishes then it was television off, phone off the hook and door locked. Then we would work with my daughter with no distractions.Chloe took part in years of exercises and development work with our youngest daughter with me. Even now Chloe's boyfriend knows that he is getting two women and not one! If there is a proposal of marriage for Chloe it will be accepted with proviso that if anything happens to my wife and I that her sister moves in.
So the 90 is a small price to pay.

That is a beautiful ride and sounds well deserved.

Defender is in her blood. We had a turbo 90 when she was born. When our second daughter was born she could not sit sideways on a rear bench in the 90 because she would have broken her neck when I braked. Thus the 200 tdi 110 with the middle facing seats came along. It was actually a four year old 110 pickup which we bought and had converted into a 9 seat station wagon. Now my eldest daughter will get to sit in the front of her own 90 and not in the middle row of a tdi or Puma. When I get it over and checked out and a serviced I'll try to get a picture of her and the 90.

It looks in remarkably good condition, especially for the UK/Ireland. What year is it?

Nothing too drastic mind. You don't want her disappearing in a puff of green smoke now, do you?[smilebigeye]

The wife did disappear in a puff of smoke a few days ago. She was walking by the 88 when I fired it up.[bigsmile]
