Hi Guys
i am looking to do all the diff and transfer oils in my Disco 4 3 litre 2010 i am going to use the
Castrol Syntrax 70w90 long life in the front diff
transfer case oil i am a little stuck on thinking royal purple syncromax transmission fluid
rear E Diff castrol SAF carbon Mod Plus from the UK
i have done the transmission with ZF6 fluid.

how does this sound, i have read that people have used Penrite GL 5 pro gear oil for the front diff and transfer cases. does any one have recommendations for the above diffs and transmission.

Cheers

Adam.

Here is what I used when I did mine:

Changed the Transmission oils, colour compare pics. (https://www.aulro.com/afvb/l319-discovery-3-and-4-a/262517-changed-transmission-oils-colour-compare-pics.html)

I've been using royal purple syncromax in my transfer case for some time now. Previously I've used Penrite Pro Gear 75w/90 (synthetic) in my diffs, however the last change I've swapped to Penrite Gear oil 85W/140(mineral) as I want to track the wear between the two oils. For the record the front diff is a lot harder on the oil compared to the rear in my case, but I don't have a rear ediff either. As long as the oil you use meets a GL-5 spec then you should be fine in the front diff. With the rear e-diff I don't think theres much on the market that meets LR spec so you might be stuck hunting for the Castrol oil there

You can get the e-diff oil from Holden part # GMH 92184900.

Or penrite now too, on the shelf at super cheap. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191107/10fa0c831d62091a6a54761b9c361516.jpg

I just put this in both diffs saves me having two bottles and pumps.
Transfer case I just buy the genuine as it's easy to get locally.

+1 on the Penrite progear in both diffs (no ediff), RP synchromax in the TC. Have done approx 25000km on that combo with no issues at all
