View Full Version : We need a name for the Newsletter / Magazine

A Chara,

We need a name for the magazine (which should be available v. soon).
I've also put this request in there too.

Leave your suggestions on this thread and the owner of the best one will receive the following:

A full colour copy of the next magazine
Picture of your Landy (& yourself if you like) on the cover of the next issue
The honour of knowing you "named" the newsletter / magazine

So get to it and let us know your suggestions:D

It's already been used by many other car clubs - Google it to see what I mean. I used to receive a copy of one of them.

For example:

THE OILY RAG

'The Oily Rag' is regarded as one of the finest club publications in Australia. Traditionally, it has been published quarterly, and is only available to current members of the HSRCA (NSW), HRCC (Qld) or VHRR (Vic). If you'd like to receive your own copy of the entire magazine, why not join one of the clubs noted above? Links to these two clubs' websites can be found using "Useful Links" (available via "Home" page).

That would make us Chronics (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=Chronic): long sufferers

And therefore our paper a "Chronical (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=Chronical)" as opposed to a "Chronicle (http://thesaurus.reference.com/search?q=Chronicle)"

So maybe the title "The AULRO Chronical" is an appropriate and accurate title (if not ordinary and ambiguous).

And it's a title that will keep Ron busy;)

I forgot to reset my password (from the AULRO generated one). I'm at work so I can't check the email from the site for the password. I can't request a forgotten password 'cos that would be sent to my personal email address and I can't read that at work (webmail is barred). So I've created a new temporary username.

OK much as that title seemed to inspire much comment - it was just too long to fit!!!
A few of the names and ideas have been tossed around and WE HAVE A WINNER!

What is it? You'll have to wait to find out
