Tomorrow i will be dropping the sport off at the indie to replace both the
lower control arm + bushes, and the upper bushes only. Both sets are originally
new from the factory, they have managed to last 9 years 2 months, which both
the Indie and I believe is not a mean feat, seeing the vehicle has done Cape York
and a few K's on corrugations and my original MY07 RRS had to have them replaced
within 3 years.
Anyone got any figures on what the average life is based upon their own experiences??
Thanks
Jim

My RRS is a May 07 build, has 181,000km and has all its original suspension - yes it clunks away at the front and rattles at the rear but only on secondary roads, not on the highway and not over speed humps. So still doing their job but is time to replace.

The other day mine clunked for the first time when entering and leaving a driveway. I am going to visit my local indie to see if he has the tools to replace the bushes or if he sends his out and if so I will just get the bushes done but if he doesn't then I will get new arms and top ball joints from Advanced Factors in the UK and get them put in.

Replaced mine at about 200,000kms last year on my 2008 TDV8. Just did the front shocks and airbags yesterday at 213,000kms at Eurohaus Prestige in Sydney.
