If you are, try this link http://www.aulro.com/afvb/login.php'do=lostpw and you will be e-mailed the information you need to reset your password and log in after the recent changes.

I was just that person recently that had trouble logging in. I had not changed anything within my profile, but the whole website locked me out for some reason and would not acknowledge my password. It kept on repeating that it was an invalid password and I only had 5 attempts before it would lock me out for 15 minutes and reset.
With the help of Phoenix and this link, I was able to obtain an new password, enter the site and change it again from within the site.

Definately also pays to have someone from AULRO on your ICQ or MSN to communicate with in these circumstances.

Thanks again.

moral of the story... keep your email address current and read system updates.

Well I will admit that I am stupid a lot of the time, but I was not able to find anywhere on the main page that gave me a direct link to changing my password. Phoenix was informed of this, and it was he that provided the site link to change the password.
I'm sure that I'm not the only one that will encounter this, as I DO keep my email address current and I frequent this site and read the relevant forums.

i did three mass mailouts to everyone in the user database over two days from 3 different mailservers with the link to the reset password page. if you didnt get an email then something between the message leaving my mail servers, all located on different domains and locations, and landing in your mail box interfered in the process. spam filters, full mailboxes, junk filters, who knows but i spent 8 bloody hours making sure they all went out... i can only try... i got over 500 bounces from full mailboxes, nearly 800 wrong email addresss bounces, god knows how many i'm on holiday responders...

dont know what else i could have done....

And God helps those who could be bothered helping themselves...it was too easy...plenty of clues left and safety lines extended

Yeah don't get me wrong, I am so happy with the work that Incisor has done to keep the site going. I simply didn't get an email for some strange reason, and was unable to get back on, but yes... problem fixed.

Very strange! I did not receive one either - however, my ISP did have some trouble at about that time, and I am a little suspicious that I lost some other e-mails as well during that time.

When I noticed the message it was easy enough to get the password changed, so no harm done.

Cheers,

Lionel

Yeah! I was locked out too, but I put AULRO into the browser and it shunted me to the new site, my password worked straight up. Guess I was lucky:)
