Hi All

A mate has bought a new 78 series (he wouldn't be told). Anyway his wife is lobbying for something a little bit more comfy in the seat department for upcoming long trips. She is very tall and athletic build.

Anyway can you recommend an aftermarket seat (or a brand) for a Troopy that I could google and find out about?

thanks

The obvious brands are recaros or stratos seats. Alternatively why not go down to a wreckers and see whats available.

Actually, Here's a chair that would be well suited for most Tojo drivers and/or passengers. Cheap too!!

Hmm, Defender seats? I find them very comfortable and I'm 6ft tall.

So do I Ron. It's a wife thing. One mate has had his Defender seats repadded before a big trip on demand from his wife and this mate has to get entirely new seats fitted on demand of his.

No wonder their seats are uncomfortable.
The wives are obviously the ones with the balls:lol:

Why not invest in one of them haemaroid pillows and use the money you save on seats to buy a big stereo therefore you wont hear her winge or use it to buy enough grog so she'll sleep most of the trip away

If I was him, and had the cash I would buy Recaro. I have owned two vehicles with them fitted and they are brilliant, have even been thinking of changing my Rangie seat to one lately. I once had an XF Falcon with bucket seats. After a day at work I could hardly stand up at the end of the day, fitted a Recaro drivers seat and you would not believe the difference. I could stand up straight and not hobble into the house at the end of the day. I used to go away touring with a mate who had a Landcruiser with just one Recaro (drivers seat) and we would always be arguing about who would drive just so we could get the good seat.

Don't know about other states but in NSw the seats will need an engineer. Father in law still has his recaro's in the shed from when he had the cruiser as NSw ego made him remove them or get an engineer.
