Ok. So the top light is known to leak in some cases. It is held in flexible adhesive and from all reports literally is broken up to remove. Eg it’s not coming off in one piece. New light is around $150-200 from some quick checks (I’m looking to replace mine as it’s cracked, but not leaking).
That’s the best I can offer at this time.

I am in the same boat as DJ plastic is cracked, after being walked on when accessing roof rack.Filled the crack with super glue so does not appear to be leaking....but if it requires replacing could try LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 3 & 4 REAR UPPER HIGH LEVEL MOUNTED BRAKE STOP LIGHT LAMP | eBay (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LAND-ROVER-DISCOVERY-3-4-REAR-UPPER-HIGH-LEVEL-MOUNTED-BRAKE-STOP-LIGHT-LAMP/273966391808)

My advice after replacing would be to wrap the top section.
This will reduce the sun ageing effects.

Yes. They do fade don’t they (and probably helps it to crack).

Yep, but unless it has been tidied up its a dogs breakfast 7000 confusing (badly ordered) pages. I did let Dave know after I bought mine, but I know he has much more important matters to attend to.

I filled mine with some silicone sealer/glue. Best to keep the water out, otherwise the inside of the ceiling liner gets wet and goes mouldy, leaving you a bigger problem.
So, patch or replace it.

I had mine replaced as it was cracked, I'd better check the headlining (which I also had replaced a while ago), I had noticed at a jet type car wash or even hosing it down in the yard, water would run down the inside of the rear window. They seem to be difficult to remove, my mechanic said he had to break it to get it out and seems to have needed to shave the plastic remnants out of the receptacle as well, as there were shavings all over the back of the car and I think I've seen a couple in the house now too.
