Yes, but tomorrow we get the "pleasure" of receiving the 5 Discos used for that excursion. We then have to get them into an "as new" condition for the next jaunt, which leaves on Monday! Factor in a 24 hour parts supply time and a weekend and you can guess who will be busy for a couple of days.

I believe there is a trip from here to Tennant Creek, via a series of B roads and back tracks. Keeping off the bitumen the whole way.

Sorry, its not in the States, it in Saudi. They also run a similar thing in the UAE, at Moreb, trying to find a link to a site with some picture but have`nt had much luck. A couple of years ago, there was someone killed on a quad bike when he launched off the top of the dune, with his hands velcroed to the handle bars so he could hold on when he hit the nitrous. Flying off the top of a 300m dune with you hands stuck to the handle bars with velcro does`nt do the human bady many favours. :(

There a few other good clips getting around the net, of motors lunching em`selves on there, and blowers comeing off etc, pity I can`t find em.

There was a show on TV about it a couple of weeks ago over here, it was in arabic so I could`nt understand a work of it, but it was pretty impressive. Red Bull have started sponsoring it now.

Its also the site they use as the bivoac for the desert challenge.
