The battery in my phone died and i have to buy it off aliexpress and will take 2-3 weeks to arrive :( , the only spare phone in the house that wasnt made last decade is an iphone 4.
I hate apple with a passion so it hurts to have to use this pile of poo, after all the kids stuff we had to buy for this school year, i'll have to hold out to the battery arrives.
Daughter's iphone6 is needing its 3rd LCD screen so that's on order as well , at least they are cheap.

[biggrin]
nothing like a philistine complaining about having to use something he hates, that still works after all these years :p
i just swapped from an iphone 6s+ to a realme xt 8/128 because i need dual sim due to all the areas around my work zone that have one or the other to varying degrees and i couldn't bring myself to pay $2k for a iphone that could do it, so opted for a $499 option.
battery life is way better and i am getting 2 days out of a charge where as i just made it through a day with the iphone and it had a replacement battery within the last 12 months
sadly, android is still utterly hopeless with audio and bluetooth devices like hearing aides etc etc
android audio works okay but is no where near as polished as apple car play, by a country mile imho
but the dual sim, with an sdcard slot as well, won out in the end
the realme is a great little piece of kit so far and the android 10 update is supposed to flow through this week
time will tell the tale

Oops NFC [emoji41]
I have a couple of fiends running them and they’re most impressed.
One was a Samsung fan, the other Apple.

This iPhone will get thrown out the window soon , wanted cc details just to access app store and then wouldn't accept them. At least with Google you can skip that.

What battery? what phone?
I have a few spares you could borrow, in an emergency, if required.

I personally dont mind the iphones, but then again we use a Mac PC at home so it kinda makes sense. But I also dont live my life on my phone either so as long as it runs the handfull of apps I need then all good. We seem to get better phone reception at our house on Iphones compared to Samsung products too for some reason (we are in a valley so ****ty reception inside the house)

I bought a north america spec LG G6 off eBay for $200 with 1 year accidental replacement cover. Cameras are ok (better with 3rd party apps) and battery life and speed are ok. Its a ways behind the flagships but its so damn cheap.
Bloatware isnt too bad on mine either (its a T-mobile version)

New screen for daughters iPhone came today so 5 mins to replace that and now I have moved up to a ZTE android, nearly twice the size of the old i4 and I can actually see stuff on the screen. Battery for my phone hasn't even left China yet, maybe it caught corona [emoji3].

ok, seeing as I'm not the most savvy when it comes to phones, whats the problem with , as you say ,piece of poo iphone4?
I still have one that I use every day since it was new released , I'm not a poker and puller , but I have no problem with it.
I think the server has a lot to do with it and I don't keep loading the latest apps, ffs its a phone not an entertainment centre. For me anyway.

It's apple for a start, and it's tiny.
The first is the killer for me.

How can anyone "hate" Apple and yet trust Google, the most UNtrustworthy company on the planet?
