Hi all.

Our company needs to engage a software developer to develop a web based tenant booking application. Is there an Australian forum or job site that I can post the requirements to recruit said developer?

Check first to make sure that there isn't an already developed one that might suit you. A search for "web based tenant booking" brings up quite a lot of stuff that's available. The effort to sort through them all not small. Check if there is one with a *support team in Australia*.

Using an application via subscription might be a good option if your starting out and your requirements fit into whatever is already available. There are probably also open source ones that can be self hosted. Advantages are a known price and later you could go down the custom route.

Getting one written from scratch is a "how long is a piece of string" thing. Programmers are usually paid by the hour and getting from a spec to a final product could be longer than you think. The advantage of a custom built one is you get exactly what you want - usually :-)
