Hi
my error appears to be different to what I first thought, typically when a compressor is on the way out you start the car, the compressor runs for ages and eventually the computer decides it’s not filling fast enough or the temperature is getting too high so it throws a fault and locks you out from using the air suspension.
Mine is different in that it throws the fault within ten seconds of starting the car (most of the time)
does this make sense to anyone here?
im on a trip with limited tools but I took the compressor cover off, and confirmed the following:
- no leaks from the pipes coming out of the compressor
- I removed the intake for the air and the fault continued meaning it’s not a blocked intake pipe
- the car doesn’t lower overnight
- after the fault I can continue to drive for hours with caravan and no issues, it just holds normal height
thoughts on other things to consider? I’m leaning towards it not being the compressor itself just purely on the short time it takes to throw the fault.
occasionally it runs for ages and ages before faulting but majority it’s almost instant
