For all those times I've tried to explain to people that racing improves the breed--
Winner of the 2020 Parker 425
and yes,, they do fit a LOT of LR's....

GU rears fit the D2 and King have released or about to release a GU IBP shock [emoji16]
The Fox compression adjuster is better though, high and low speed, not a compromise mid speed.

Does the IBP need a specific static ride height to work properly?

Does the IBP need a specific static ride height to work properly?Nope, the King version is clever, uses an extra piston below the main piston and a needle mounted in the base of the tube that starts closing bleeds as it enters the hollow piston rod as the stock nears full bump.
King claim the valving of the extra piston and needle shapes can vary the characteristics almost infinitely.
The only downside I've seen is the $$, roughly US$1400 for the GU shock.
Each.

Thats cool. Sounds like the length vs travel would be similar to a Bilstein without remote canister.

I don't know what the open/closed lengths will be like for the IBP shock, the 'stock' 2.5" body GU shock for standard ride height to 2.5" lift has a 9.6" stroke for the eye eye rear, and there are two longer versions that bolt into a Patrol.
