Pulled into a servo for a driving break and noticed an EV Charging staton.

Thought I would have a closer look....

I don’t get the Deagon, they currently have two bowsers with two cables on each. At best it could only charge three cars, although it may only charge two cars.

There is the capacity to install another four bowser, again the positioning doesn’t loom right to maximize charging.

I than notice each bowser had a red light on top, closer inspection shows all four charge points are out of service. go electric....go anywhere, apparently not.

Only an engineer could design something like this.

Also noticed when I reverse out the roof of the solar station is fully covered in panels.

Maybe the lack of sun over the last couple of weeks means no storage for charging.

I wonder where the closest EV charge point is the this out of service one....not good if you’re low on juice.

Great fast charging, (theoretically up to 350kW) both CCS2 and CHADeMO, and under shade which is really nice. However, with both a charge of 35c per kWh and a charge for time (25c a minute), it works out to be quite expensive unless your car is charging very fast. It’s still a very good option for a quick top up to get home,

Shouldn't it be "Power for the people"? [biggrin]
