GOE front bashplate with OEM Bullbar?

Oh wise ones,
I recently purchased a GOE front bashplate off a member here for my 2014 D4. Unfortunately, it appears that this does not fit with the OEM bullbar that I have. I am seeking advice as to whether it does actually fit and I’m just having trouble working out how to make it so.

I have removed the plastic OEM front guard and tried every which way to get the bashplate in place, but I just can’t make it work. Has anyone made this combination work? If so, what am I doing wrong?

Obviously, I can’t call upon Graham at GOE, so I seek your collective wise counsel. Thanks in advance.

First you need to find someone with the OEM bullbar who's then decided to fit an aftermarket bashplate. You may well be the first!!!

my factory bull bar (powder coated in black - because the silver looks ... [bighmmm]) will be on today. will then be looking for the bash plate... I would have thought any bash plates fitted the factory location outs? and as far as I know the factory bull bar has no modifications to the plastic guard???

FYI- There's a factory bash plate on Gumtree in Perth if your interested....search: discovery 4 in other parts and accessories.
