Hi All
My crashed Defender has the engine back in and has been driven to the panel beater for finishing (new windscreen, screw in indicator lenses, mudguard etc).
Had clutch done, cooling system reconditioned and timing belt done while the engine was out.
After that it has to go and get some tyres (Bridgie 604vs for $190ea) and then it goes over the pits. Maybe end of next week. Mechanic says he'll give it a degrease and check everything beforehand(full dress rehearsal we call it in my industry ) and he reckons it will be straightforward but I know how frustrating pits inspections can be.
I'll be calling for mass AULRO prayer session that morning. Watch this space, check your incense supplies and no swearing at your vehicles, or policemen until further notice.
cheers
J
