Is it possible to change to the BMW x5 6 speed auto in my 2004 Range rover L322 TD6

Hi Dave
Unfortunately not practical [bigsad] the ZF box is longer and the transfer case is a different type on the ZF 6 speed, then you have to sort out ECM issues. I looked at it many years ago and though doable, it's not worth it. [bigsmile1].

Yep, can be done if you had unlimited time and money to throw at it. I did once look at installing a 5 speed manual from an X5 into my L332 which is also doable - with enough time and money but ultimately not worth it.

Have seen a couple in Europe on forums with a BMW 2 wheel drive box in them driving the back wheels only but that sort of defeats the purpose of owning a Range Rover IMO.
