Dash cam showing a driver going to fast and by some miracle not killing the bike he hit head on. The bike rider had a "an air bag suit" I wish I had one on in my bingle (https://www.fc-moto.de/epages/fcm.sf/?channable=e89551.MjI0MjM3NTQ&ObjectPath=/Shops/10207048/Products/Spidi-T-2-Neck-DPS-Wind-Pro-Leather-Suit/SubProducts/Spidi-T-2-Neck-DPS-Wind-Pro-Leather-Suit-0002&Locale=en_AU&gclid=Cj0KCQiAqY3zBRDQARIsAJeCVxMsViGchV6u50q7sHRW 12mKFlKaWliJ8AB1CM3bC-8rRXG2Lz1Q8WcaAtPcEALw_wcB). I might be walking a few months sooner[bighmmm]https://www.fc-moto.de/WebRoot/FCMotoDB/Shops/10207048/4EE7/63CC/07EE/132D/2D62/3E70/5055/8066/Spidi-T-2-Neck-DPS-3_s.jpg

An understatement of the century belongs to South Yorkshire Police's PC Phil Carson said the footage of the crash in April 2019 was released to remind bikers about wearing the correct safety gear.
He said: "You might be travelling in a safe manner, but that doesn't mean everyone else is.

"Please make sure that you're wearing the right kit, it might be expensive but without it, your life could be at risk."

I do not know what to say to the pathetic "three year driving ban". My sorry I didn't see you mate got a "failing to give way" ticket for almost killing me[bigwhistle] Police man did sort of ask if I wanted him charged with dangerous driving causing near death. My version as I was on a lot of drugs at the time[biggrin] Didn't see the point as the 87ish year old made a slow speed non malicious error.

Bloody awful to watch. my guts is cringing from it.

As a rider of over 50yrs now , I treat every car driver as an imbicile and a mobile accident.

I haven't crashed for longer than I can remember. My riding gear is old Belstaff, helmet modern, gloves modern, but if you do go down it always really hurts later.

When driving my car I'm very bike aware and give room , even if they perhaps are doing it wrong...that way neither of us get into trouble.

My big concern these days is my beautiful pillion of 36 yrs .I do get angry at car drivers when I'm threatened with her on the back , the good thing being that power sometimes can get you the hell away from a congregated bunch of nodding, soft seated , cosseted drivers with there Harmon Kardon hifi systems playing their favourite stupid FM radio program as they waft along oblivious to anything but themselves.
