Swag repair

Finally managed to get a swag after wanting one for ages [Dune boundary] - "Damaged" ex-display stock but the $30 price tag was too good to pass up...

The damage is at the foot end where there is a triangle of fabric that attaches to the top of the swag and has a tie down eyelet, has pulled the stitching...

Was thinking about just getting a decent type of cloth [gaffer/sailor] tape and using that but it will need to be able to take some amount of lateral tension. Any suggestions or better ideas???

[it's also missing the little pole that raises the foot end up 300mm or so but that should be easy enough to replace]

Get a nice strong needle and use some 50lb braid fishing line and restitch it, A pair of plyers come in very handy here[thumbsupbig]
Gluing/taping this sort of simply doesn't work for long, Ask me how I know[biggrin]
