Hi All
Heading up to Cape York in August and really looking forward to it - interested to hear what other people would carry as spares?
Used the search and found list for 110 Defers but nothing under Disco 4's
Thanks Harry

Head over to the Sticky zone. Good stuff there. Essential D3 D4 RRS travelling spares (https://www.aulro.com/afvb/the-d3-d4-sticky-zone/210715-essential-d3-d4-rrs-travelling-spares.html)

I asked the same question of MR Automotive for the same year model. Reply was pretty much nothing as they’re very good but have your service issues in order. I did take a couple of minor things that I’d take with any vehicle but Having a GAP tool and Land Rover assist with me was comforting. Needed nothing at all in the end. Spares like speed sensors etc are worth it but you need to how to put them in etc. good thing to practise at home and make a list of tools required when you do it and take them. Probably the most useful spare is a healthy credit card for any remote travel and the cape nearly isn’t anymore but hell worth it.
I would add though 19” highway tyres have no place off road in the disco. Plenty of options nowadays.

Agree - changing to BFG KO2 265/65/18’s next week - I think that’s the biggest you can go without lifts / mods..

Done heaps of remote trips with ours, didn’t need anything.
Just took a smallish tool box, with tools, bits of wire, rope, duct tape, good multimeter,a few other bits and pieces.
Got the GAP tool and a mobile with external antenna.
And RACQ.
As others have said,a good set of tyres is the go.A set of LT’s that are not worn out.
Drive to suit conditions and pack as light as you can.
Have a very good look over the vehicle before setting off.
I take off all the bash panels and use a torch to check for chaffing of cables, pipes, etc.
With yours you need to also check where coolant hose goes under engine cover as they can rub through there.
Do a search on here there are a few threads about this issue.

That’s what I personally have and to date puncture free. Tricky getting spare under but just deflate it. So first spare item is a compressor.
