In BK? Where Mike? I'll be back there soonish. Love to see them.

Better than this, no doubt: YouTube (https://youtu.be/iLxyQXCbOKk)

And don't forget the Irish pubs.

And don't forget the Irish pubs.

The Irish pub in Hua Hin - Father Ted’s had the Bangkok Beatles playing whilst we were there. Google them, they play BKK and Hua Hin

There’s a bar in Sukhumvit 4 Alley in BKK that has another tribute band playing regularly. Well worth it.

Drum roll please....

They were very much over long before I was born, but I've been playing in bands for 20 something years and I love playing Beatles and the Everly Brothers just for the harmonies. Outside of Asia, harmonies in cover bands/pub bands seems to be a dying art.

Oh, and I don't care what John said. Ringo was an under-rated drummer. Up there with Snowy Fleet. Wasn't/Isn't much of a singer though.

Just the place to relax from the travails of the Sukhumvit market. Actually, not far from The Bus Stop, where I had one of the best Thai beef salads.

Most of the musos I know rate Ringo highly as a drummer. Heck, he drummed for The Beatles..... As for singing, after they broke up I bought all their solo stuff for a bit. Ringo's Sentimental Journey and Beaucoups of Blues got played once, I think. He wasn't much of a singer puts it charitably. His best was "The Fat Controller" on Thomas[bigsmile1]

At least he wasn’t Earnest the Engine and Friends.

(If you’re wondering what I’m talking about search YouTube for Earnest the Engine - it was a skit on a popular Aussie comedy show years ago)

Simply superb. My two favourite songs off that album ,"While My Guitar...." and " Long Long Long " were impeccable. The guitarist played Eric Clapton's solo flawlessly with the perfect Les Paul tone. Brilliant.

Cheers,

Peter.

The Beatles accompanied me through my teen years. Their music got incorporated into my DNA.

30 years later my sons discovered their music and loved it!

Worth watching just to see Dhani Harrison's eyes just before Prince starts the solo. Ah Prince, another musical genius. Getting fewer every year.

I am a huge Beatles fan. Both my sons 27 and 29 year olds also love them.

I remember purchasing the single Ob-La-De, Ob-La-Da and the b side was While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

Over time the b side IMHO is a brilliant song, far better than than Ob-La-De.

Did anyone else see ‘Yesterday’ at all? Not a bad little flick but probably not everyone’s cup of tea, but worth a watch on a day when you’re inside not doing much else.

Singles.. I bought Hello Goodbye. B side was I Am The Walrus. Hello was a hit, of course, but Walrus was something else....

First single I ever bought was I Feel Fine, with the B side She's A Woman.
