Hello All,
I am swamped in the joys of responding to Selection Criteria. What increases the difficulty of this activity is different interpretations between employers.
How would you respond to the following criterion when they have previously asked detailed questions under
Motivation: Commitment to professional and self-development with a focus on qualifications/skills update and contemporary industry practices including safe, equitable and anti-discriminatory work practices.
Continuously improving and exploring new ways to do their job successfully
The selection criterion I am struggling with is this one ...
Personal drive and integrity
• Seeks out opportunities for personal and professional development and additional responsibility in order to learn new skills and grow.
Yes it could be considered funny that I am stumped about how to answer this selection criterion.
Yes mine is not to reason why - just to meekly comply and insert a response.
However, what would you provide an as example to the Personal Drive and Integrity without duplicating the previous criteria about Motivation, Continuous Improvement and Self-directed professional development?
To me, most frequently Personal Drive and Integrity is accompanied by such things as the ability to understand and comply with the Privacy Act (1988), Confidentiality and Intellectual Property policies. Also, various Discrimination Acts and Cultural Competency. Plus, OH & S.
Or have I missed the mark? Maybe I just have job application fatigue - sigh.
Kind regards
Lionel
