Hi Pedro.

both, as a result of a fault and when service done.

although I do my own GPS updates, these seem to come out monthly.

I get updates over the air in my garage on the home wifi. Just check for updates and it finds them and installs them, if it doesn't do them itself.

Strangely, the GPS updates have to be done by downloading to a USB drive via the computer and then putting the USB into the car socket and then doing it through the nav software in the car. Go figure...
