Defender Td5 Bull Bar Help

Hi, I have a Bull Bar on my Defender 1999 Td5 Extreme. Thinking or adding a winch. The Bar has the shapes, small holes in each corner for a winch etched on it. see photos . No indication of manufacturer but was on car from new. Have looked underneath and there seems to be reinforced mountings to take a winch. Can the shapes be cut out?

Yes they're all cut out for my warn 9000xd that I assume has been on since factory.
