View Full Version : CORONA VIRUS AND FREIGHT TIMES
Roverlord off road spares
1st April 2020, 10:45 PM
Just advising that due to The Corona Virus our Mail cut off time is now before 2pm,
Australia Post will not be working overtime which may cause delays, post are not picking up parcels after 3pm and the inside info is there are back logs of parcels at the distribution centres.
Genuine parts from Land Rover UK have also been delayed. I checked on a customers D3 head lining order which normally would take 7 - 10 working days and was told LR UK are not sending stuff to Aus again until June 19.

M
y telescopic Renegade hedge trimmer has started sticking & slipping. Renegade is Trade Tools home brand so I was hoping they can fix it. I spoke to them yesterday and they say parts out of China are taking 6 weeks!

Yes, I was told 12 weeks recently for something completely different, but they are re-opening so it may be speeding up.

I ordered materials from a electrical wholesaler in QLD late Friday afternoon
Got a message Monday morning saying it had been dispatched
I was hoping to receive it for a job Friday afternoon
Usually it takes 4-5 days for it to arrive after despatch message, so I let the customer know due to corona it may be next week
Arrived about 10 o’clock WA time yesterday
I’ll have to eat my words and let the customer know because of corona it’s arrived sooner [emoji16]

We’re waiting for some stuff from Japan - but there’s allegedly only one flight a week from Japan now so airmail has pretty much stopped. And they appear to have closed my PO Box so nothing is going there.

I ordered a part for an ice maker from a place in Eagle Farm,in Brisbane.
So they put it in the post, almost 3 weeks ago, its still not here.
We keep checking the tracking number and it says its in the warehouse ready for dispatch.
The supplier then drops another one over,at the workshop, which we used.
The part arrived late this arvo,so now i have to send it back to him, maybe not in the post...
In hindsight, the way the traffic is ATM,i should have just gone and got it and added the time to the job.

Small cardboard box of birthday gifts sent from Hobart on April 2nd. bound for Canberra finally arrived today. Three weeks!!
Tracked to Sydney over two weeks ago so it sat there for two weeks before being forwarded on.

Just got to hang in there. Peter.

We've had five deliveries this week and all arrived promptly, so no complaints here. Courier drivers say they are flat out and working 7 days a week.
