Android tablet into a D3

Hey brains trust,
I'm thinking of putting an Android tablet in our 08 D3 (6 CD changer and sub woofer). Has anyone done it including integrating a reverse camera? I'm hoping to run Apple CarPlay as well....
Any experiences good or otherwise appreciated.

I wouldnt bother, plenty of android head units around and even some compact enough to fit in where the sat nav screen goes if you have it.

Our car has the optical loop though, doesn’t that complicate things somewhat?

Not of you get the right harness kit, also check here the one Cambo fitted that just connects into the aux input.
