So due to "circumstances", our D3 now spends most of its life as a shopping trolley. Literally 2K's to the supermarket and back and the occasional 24K round trip. I've noticed all our cars are getting slow to start as they are just not getting enough of a run to keep on top of the battery. So I'm now doing a weekly top up with the charger and it's taking a relatively good whack.
I also figure this is going to be super-arduous service and a killer for oil as they never get hot enough to burn off any condensation.
Anyone else noticing issues related to "range anxiety" (the anxiety promoted when you get in the car and want to drive a 300K round trip but don't have the paperwork required, so it's around to the local IGA instead)?

Nope. I can muster 300km going up and down the multi-storey car park in a day [emoji6]

Try going further afield to the shops, i still go to the office 2 days a week which is about 52k's return.
I also use the disco instead of the wifes car for all our running around.

Dunno about range anxiety, but right now I'm getting about three weeks to the litre. [thumbsupbig]

I'm using ours to check the cattle twice a day ..currently located over 2 properties..prolly shouldn't as I've put a couple scratches and one dent in it already..but it's soo much fun and way more comfortable than any other vehicle we have here☺
Tip: Leave it dirty and the wife can't see the damage...yet🙄

Cleaned-up after Friday's run to the village, having used a spade to remove the dried mud caked between the tyres and the guards.

Took the long way to the village..I'm guessing😉
I took an old stock route to shop in hooterville recently..surprisingly I didn't see any Covid Police😎

But did they see you?
I'd like to think there was still an element of common sense in the real bush, although for the unknowing, a dirtly RR might raise eyebrows?

No, via the only route being my 2km driveway, 4km gravel but sometimes very boggy lane then 2km sealed. My driveway gets very sloppy at the slightest of showers. The RR rarely gets washed except by the rain so is a normal sight around here and in Wagga where we shop. There's another the same colour in Wagga but its always clean - town people.

They might have..police here have recently acquired millions of dollars worth of drones/new toys..plus they have copters as well..so maybe I'll get a visit soon 😞
