Sure. While I’m at it I’ll also send you a pic of how to enable Tesla style auto drive so you can lay back and watch in style. Those leather chairs are mighty comfy when reclined for a movie.

Probably. I turned on the lock on my L322’s TV so that it couldn’t be watched when driving - reception was woeful most of the time anyway 😊

Your insurance will be voided if it’s found that the TV/DVD was playing and visable by the driver at the time of your accident. There’s a clause in the insurance policy that states that you agree to waive your insurance if you do any illegal activities. To which watching a DVD while driving is one.
Not to mention the legal nightmare that you’d find yourself in if you hurt/kill another person at the accident

Watching the TV or a DVD or playing with the phone is just one of the many things so many drivers seem to like doing rather than concentrating on just bloody driving.
I knew a bloke years ago who had a nasty accident while watching a TV is his old Holden (Don't ask me how he had it fitted up as I don't know) which left him badly inured.
We called him "Sticks" as that what he was down to using to get about after it.
Take all the gadgets for idiots out of cars and maybe the death rate will fall a little bit.

Later Rangies than mine had a split screen system (did it use a Fresnel lens overlay?) where the passenger could watch a movie while the driver saw only the GPS.
Try explaining that to the bike copper you comes up on the LHS, sees the TV, pulls one over, goes to the driver's windows and sees the GPS. He'd have to assume one had swapped inputs. :)

I was only asking for my passengers to see the DVD . not for the driver to watch it while driving.

Does it go off when you start moving or when the handbrake is released?
It may sound odd but on our Forester, if I pull the handbrake on slightly when driving, the passenger can access the on-screen controls for the phone and GPS. The car assumes the car is stopped. I must wire in a switch one day...

Was told could do the same handbrake trick in my aftermarket Pioneer fitted to my D2a - not that I ever tried it.
The noted idea of different screen views for driver and passenger could have some merit, but would still I suspect be a potential distraction.

Just remember - no movie screens to be visible anywhere from the front seats - rear seats only. There was the recent case where a driver was booked in the Hunter Valley because the person in the front passenger seat had a lap top open and it was considered the screen could be visible to the driver.

Ok - well do it and see how far you get if a cop is beside you - good luck when you try to fight it in court.

Why not simply give the passenger a book or some crosswords to do if they get boored.
Having a dvd going in the front is not only illegal, It is lunacy.
