Change the engine oil and 2 filters, changed air/diesel filters, remove sump re-locktite oil pump drive, change oil in diffs, gearbox and transfercase, fitted new front pinion seal, removed rear flex drive unable to remove rear pinion seal re-installed original flex drive.
Total bill $243.00

Andy,
did you forget to put a zero on the left hand side of the decimal point?

Hi Mahn
I have been dreading getting the account, especially when he told me its a poo of a thing to work on.But he is a very good mechanic, getting on in years, fairly slow but meticuolous. And his hourly rate is less than half the going rate.

Andrew,
Isn't it nice when you find a decent guy that you can rely on.... that doesn't charge stupid rates!
He might not be cost effective for me though.... I'd be most of the way to the next oil change by the time I got home!...:o

glad to see they don't all charge like a hippo on heat. He deserves a mention and even (when he dies) bronzing in the Land Rover hall of fame
