I'm excited.
New Defender is finally in Brisbane, should have it under my bum early next week. Been on order for 4 months!! I'm sure it will be a massive change from the Stage 1.

Why the big delay? We sourced a new Defender 110 for a customer, only took about 1/3 of that time to come through. It isn't like they don't have them sitting around waiting to be bought!

It's a standard 110 Extreme as they all are these days. Reason it,s taken so long is because of colour, Bonatti Grey. Yes, you can get one straight away, but usually only white, and I'm sorry but white is such a boring colour. Forget all the arguments about visibility etc, we figured we'll have the thing for 20 years like the Stage 1, so why not get what we want.
As for giving it a workout, we're off to far western Qld and a Nth Sth crossing of the Simpson via the Hay River in July, which just about gives me time to add a second battery and storage system and put a few K,s on it.
Looking forward to some modern idiosyncracies for a change.
