Just sourcing stuff for a future turbo build and have found a complete 6x6 turbo setup including injection pump.
Does anyone know if the crossover pipe will fit under the 4x4 bonnet? Any other issues? My block has the plate for the turbo drain already and understand I'll need to find an oil feed, mod airfilter etc.
I would look at upgrading the turbo. I'm not after huge power just a good smooth torque curve to give it a bit more oomph and not needing to change down for hills etc

I'm not sure but have read of bonnet cross members having to be trimmed for the x over pipe.
Others will know.

Don't bother swapping the injector pump over, the NA one works better i habe found. Torque cams are different from memory.

the toque cams are different, and no if the pumps are set up correctly the turbo pump out performs the NA pump.

by tuning it to spec.....

by tuning it to spec.....It was tuned as far as we could go on the dyno. By tuning, i mean fuel screw adjusting. Timing was never touched though.
I also spoke with a shop that mainly plays with 4bd1's, told them it was a T pump, gave them the pumps numbers, and they even said to swap out the pump for an NA one.

I never had any issue pushing plenty out of the pumps on the turbo pumps, the thing to rememebr about them is they fueling is lighter on early on and winds up more assertively later on as the engine RPM comes up. as they are not a compensated pump there is a big deadspot at the get go. (roughly speaking)

Mine had the fuel screw removed, my na motor had the screw wound out about 3.5 turns, it went harder than the T motor, same with a mates perentie that was dynoed against my T motor, his fuel screw was out about 2.5 turns, i omly made 6.6kw at the wheels more than him. I'd love to know the differences in pumps, besides the torque cam.

Yes you will have probably have to cut into the bonnet. (I did, just some of the bracing).
From memory you will still need to change down on the steepest hills... You can get upto about 14psi with the no wg turbo.
Plenty of data and opinions on this website and others as to what turbo you should fit.

You could do what Ancient Mariner on here did with his bonnet by fitting chequerplate to the high part of the indentation, this will give you another inch or so, so then you can cut the ribs or even a section out of the bonnet.
Sorry crap photo, there will be better ones on this site somewherehttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200508/d0e1c4a284046ff00349c10b691b4875.jpg

On a dyno is the best way to tune.....have all the data on hand after each tweak.
